Instapot: I love my instant pot! It is a must have in a plant-based kitchen, but you don’t need a fancy one. This model is the perfect features for a reasonable price. Purchase here
Ceramic Peeler: I am left-handed and until I discovered this peeler, I sometimes struggled to get the peeler to peel! I love the ceramic peelers. Though they do not last forever like their metal cousins I think they are worth it for eliminating any frustration. Purchase here
Large Ceramic Peeler: As a personal chef I am always trying to be quick and efficient – this is a great peeler for sweet-potatoes, butternut squash, and large vegetable. It works fine for carrots and small veggies too. Purchase here
Pyrex (6 cup & 11cup): These Pyrex dishes are what I ask my clients to buy. The large 11 cup is perfect for a salad, the 6 cup one is what I used for an entrée portion for 2. They can go in freezer, microwave and oven. Purchase here
Pyrex (set of six 2 cup): These 2 cup rounds are great for making potpies as well as a nice size for sauces or leftovers. Purchase here
Fine Grater: I do not use a garlic press anymore. Instead I use a microplane. I love them for garlic, ginger lemon anything that needs a small grate. This one is wide and mostly metal. I find it easier to use the wide one and easier to clean. Purchase here
Zester: Ok, next to my knife, this is my favorite hand tool. And yes, this brand is pricey, but I have snapped a few in my day and this one is too solid to snap. I use lemon zest in so many recipes – it brings out the flavor and brightens the whole dish. Purchase here Julienne Peeler: This is a great tool for making raw julienne beets or carrots. I have tried several brands and this one is very strong. It is a little scary with those razor-sharp teeth so if you hold the veggie with a fork instead of your fingers it seems a little safer. Best Hing Ever!: I use Hing, also known as Asafoetida in my Indian curries and khichari – it adds its special flavor – and it is strong—only add a pinch. I’ve tried many brands and this one is very pure and potent. It also is gluten free which is almost impossible to find as most brands have gluten. Purchase here
Kala Namak Black Salt:This is the secret vegan ingredient to eggy tasting tofu – it also adds to the depth of flavor in many dishes. I find that keeping it in the fridge helps it stay potent longer. Purchase here
Royal Quinoa:If you have taken any of my classes, you know I am a bit of a quinoa snob. I only use royal quinoa – which is a type and also a brand name. This one is a fantastic price as well. Purchase here
